DROPPING OFF STUDENTS/PARKING

The welfare and safety of our students is a constant concern. Parents who drive their children to school are asked to drop off their children along the sidewalk in the south side parking lot only. The parking facility on the north side of Bower is for buses only. Please use extra caution when driving in the lot, as many children will be moving through the area.

DO NOT DROP CHILDREN OFF ON RIVER ROAD.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ALONG YELLOW CURB OR ALONG WOODLAND AVENUE.

ONLY PARK IN DESIGNATED AREAS

WALKERS/CROSSING GUARD

The speed limit along River Road is 20 m.p.h. when students are present. A walking map is available upon request to help your family plan the safest route to school. Adult crossing guards are stationed at the intersections of Warrenville Road and Warren Avenue, River and Woodland Roads, and Woodland and Curtis Roads. The crossing guards are at these locations from 9:00 A.M. to 9:20 A.M. and from 3:30 P.M. to 3:50 P.M

All students should walk on either Curtis or Warren Avenue to Woodland Road and cross with the crossing guard at Woodland Road and River Road.

Special Directions for Students

If parents have made changes to a student’s routine they should send a signed note to the teacher indicating the change. Only in an emergency should a parent telephone the office to request the office to notify a student of a change in their routine. The office staff can not be expected to, or held accountable for delivering this information.
